Today at the John Carroll school it was lights out on this beautiful Friday morning. I was very surprised they didn’t let us get out of school. But during the morning the stairs were dark and I kept tripping and running into people. But I had high hopes till human geo came upon me. We were all taking notes. Today we got new seats and so now I sit next to Nick G and Jacob F. We were taking notes like we’ve been doing the whole week. We all thought we would be going home when the principle came on the microphone. Instead of what we thought all the power was restored!!! DANG FLABIT! Now I have to stay in school… YAY! But today we took notes about how people can tell you directions by telling you the places familiar that are closest to the unfamiliar place.   But it was cool one of my teachers friends can sail. He has been to the middle east and used to take his friends. It was very interesting to learn about.
Today in Human Geo we didn’t really do much. All we did was sit for the first 15 minutes and take notes. But it was kind of interesting about what our teacher talked about.   The first 15 minutes of class we sat while Evelyn was flamed about how she lost her 200 worded blog which she had worked very hard on and POOF like that in an instant just gone. But during class I learned something new about Austin Texas! That insurance doesn’t provide Flood Insurance. Like what!!! And they just had that huge hurricane which flooded their houses and neighbor hoods. Our teacher told us that its because the insurance companies don’t want to be bank rupt when hurricanes do come and they have to pay for every ones flooding. So for that reason they don’t have flooding insurance. Which is terrible because now the people don’t only have a wrecked home but now they have to pay for it with their own money!
Today in Human Geo all the students came in and sat down. In the front of the class room stood our teacher. He had this greedy look on his face. Like he was about to tell us something that would ruin our day! And guess what… I was right! As he said the words I knew I would start out the day worse than I thought. “today we will be having a POP QUIZ”! WHAT!!! I know what your thinking! Why would your teacher give you a POP QUIZ in the bright and early morning when im basically asleep and can barley even hold my eyes open to look at the paper. But as soon as I got the paper I was alert! I rocked that quiz and I believe I did really good! But who knows maybe I’ll be totally wrong and end up getting a big fat F, but for now im pleased to say im very positive about the grade ill get on this quiz!
