Today in human geo, we went over the information that we had
to write and type and just copy notes on. We reviewed the ancient Greeks, the
message to Garcia essay, and basically all the information given to us in the
previous days. Me and my friend Reilly were asking hard questions that will be
on tomorrows test that might trick people in to getting it wrong. The first
question we asked was, “what was the mountain called that was named after
President Mckinley?”. Me and Reilly stumped a few people when asking this question
but we soon revealed the answer. The next one me and Reilly asked was “what was
the setting of the message to Garcia essay”. People knew that one the most. The
answer is the Spanish American war. Throughout the class many people had the
most questions about the ancient Greeks. We read most about Socrates and how he
was accused of teaching children about another god and was sentenced to death

Continuing our discussion on Population today in human geo we talked about migration and the reason people leave a country. There are reasons why people might migrate from one country to another. These reasons are called push and pull factors. Push factors are ways people may leave a country and go to another. This includes a civil war, unemployment, religious reasons, and maybe environmental degradation. The other factor for migration is a pull factor. This includes a better economic, health services, religious freedom, and political freedom. After we discussed those two factors we talked about how many people go to Canada instead of the United states. I found out that in Canada when you get hurt and go to a hospital that you can just get treated and leave. But in the United states when you get hurt and go to the hospital not only can you be treated but you also have to pay hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars to be treated.
