Today in Human Geo we took our first unit test of the
starting year. I know I did bad. Not even going to lie. I’m terrible at taking
tests! I always study and then POOF all the information is gone in that one
second after the test is handed out to me! I am definitely not the best test
taker. But some of the questions I knew!! Which gave me some more confidence
throughout the test taking process. I think I did pretty well on the essays.
Although mine were not the longest it did get to the point and just discuss
what the question was about. But I definitely didn’t get the extra credit
either!!! But when I didn’t know something I always put I forgot or something random
because it’s the first thing that came to my mind in those few seconds I looked
at the questions. Well that was my day in Human Geo!
Continuing our discussion on Population today in human geo we talked about migration and the reason people leave a country. There are reasons why people might migrate from one country to another. These reasons are called push and pull factors. Push factors are ways people may leave a country and go to another. This includes a civil war, unemployment, religious reasons, and maybe environmental degradation. The other factor for migration is a pull factor. This includes a better economic, health services, religious freedom, and political freedom. After we discussed those two factors we talked about how many people go to Canada instead of the United states. I found out that in Canada when you get hurt and go to a hospital that you can just get treated and leave. But in the United states when you get hurt and go to the hospital not only can you be treated but you also have to pay hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars to be treated.
