Walking into human geo I knew exactly what we were going to talk about that day. It was EXCELLENCE! We've been talking about excellence this whole week and I wasn't exactly surprised seeing it up on the board. The definition of excellence is, the quality of being outstanding, or extremely good. We talked about excellence in many different ways in class. For example we talked about what excellence means to John Carroll students, what excellence meant to Elbert Hubbard, and what Excellence meant to the ancient greeks. For John Carroll students to be truly excellent you go above and beyond to really get good grades, stay at the top of your class, and getting in class on time all the time. And lastly for the ancient greeks excellence meant, democracy. Because without a democracy there would be no excellence and without excellence there would be no democracy. Although I known the definition of excellence before taking this class I did learn many ways excellence meant something to someone. Maybe by doing your best, going above and beyond, and having perfection are some ways excellence means to someone.

After we discussed those two factors we talked about how many people go to Canada instead of the United states. I found out that in Canada when you get hurt and go to a hospital that you can just get treated and leave. But in the United states when you get hurt and go to the hospital not only can you be treated but you also have to pay hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars to be treated. That can be a reason why people...
