Today coming into school was miserable! The only day it rains this week is the day I don’t have a jacket… just my like huh? But my sperry’s got wrecked and the schools TOO hot. Like before it was freeeeezing but now its way too hot. Why can I never just be comfortable in this school! But, Today in class I was preparing myself for a mental break down. We were having our quiz on world leaders and I studied so so so so hard but I wasn’t sure if I studied everything!!!! Going into the test I know the first two pages then it came the 3rd and I had no idea what most of the were! And the last page was even worse because you could have the leaders be more than one question so I couldn’t do my elimination strategy. But I got through it so hopefully I do better than I thought and I don’t flunk.

Continuing our discussion on Population today in human geo we talked about migration and the reason people leave a country. There are reasons why people might migrate from one country to another. These reasons are called push and pull factors. Push factors are ways people may leave a country and go to another. This includes a civil war, unemployment, religious reasons, and maybe environmental degradation. The other factor for migration is a pull factor. This includes a better economic, health services, religious freedom, and political freedom. After we discussed those two factors we talked about how many people go to Canada instead of the United states. I found out that in Canada when you get hurt and go to a hospital that you can just get treated and leave. But in the United states when you get hurt and go to the hospital not only can you be treated but you also have to pay hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars to be treated. Today in human geo we watched a video on Hans Rosling who taught all about global health. He likes to show his education in both enjoyment and understanding.   Through the video he discussed his version of the population pyramid so people can both enjoy and understand. He showed us his version of a population pyramid where it shows if countries are rich and healthy or poor and sick. Lifespan starts from 25 years to 75 years old. And the income starts from 400 to 40000 dollars. During the year 1810 all countries were mostly under ages 50 and at 400 dollars. Which was extremely unhealthy and poor. On the graph Europe was brown, Asia was red, the middle east was green, the sub-Saharan Africa is blue and last but NOT LEAST… America is yellow!
